Crickley Hill Parking Permits

Regular price £15.00 £0.00 Unit price per

If you are a regular visitor to Crickley Hill it may be more cost effective to purchase a parking permit rather than pay each time you visit - we have 3 options: monthly (£15), quarterly (£45) and yearly (£150).

In January 2024 a new car parking system was introduced at Crickley Hill. While parking charges have been in place at Crickley Hill since 2018, the new system means that:

  • Parking charges apply to all visitors (including blue badge holders, Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust members and National Trust members);
  • Visitors are required to pay to stay 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;
  • Pay per visit parking charges are £2 for a day including multiple visits on the same day.
  • A camera that recognises which vehicles have paid for parking is now in operation.
  • You need to pay at the paystation at the end of you visit not the start.

Purchasing a parking permit means, for the duration of your permit, you can visit as often as you like, for as long as you like, without need to purchase additional tickets.

If you have purchased a parking permit:

  • Please continue to pay for your visits until you have received confirmation from Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust that your vehicle’s details have been logged on the parking permit system. This is because details about your vehicle’s registration need to be logged on the parking system manually by a member of Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust staff.
  • Confirmation will usually be sent to you on the day of purchase, if you have made your purchase on a weekday before 4pm.
  • As our staff work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, if you have purchased your permit after 4pm on a Friday or over the weekend please note: you may not receive confirmation until the following Monday.
  • You do not need to display a ticket or any other permit paperwork on your windscreen – the camera system will recognise your vehicle registration.
  • When your parking permit expires, it is your responsibility to either: a) renew your permit or b) start paying per visit. Our system does not set up regular payments or provide reminders.
  • Please tell us if you change vehicles before taking your new one for a test run to Crickley Hill  – your parking permit is linked to your vehicle registration and all details will need to be manually transferred. (We reserve the right to limit the number of registration changes per permit)
  • Thank you! - The funds raised from parking charges and permits go directly towards the conservation, maintenance and management of Crickley Hill’s wildlife, archaeology and facilities. Your support means we can do more.
